Smart phones are getting very popular in India. The price of the item gets lowered now-a-days and thus more and more people are now purchasing this gadget. Blackberry Pearl 9000 and 9100 were launched in mid of this year. In Mumbai 11th June, they have launched it. The recent survey shows that although Nokia is still more dominating in all the ranges of mobile phones in India, but blackberry is getting stronger day by day. The Pearl was launched after the declaration of Indian Government for the launching of 3G and Spectrum Telecom technology. Its price was estimated to be Rs.20000. to 30000 by experts during its launch as it was not revealed during that time. But it cannot be denied that like USA, the craze for Blackberry phones is not so intense in India.
But during the current year due to security reason Indian government decided to block the Blackberry messaging and the Internet use if the operators do not control its use. There are many operators of Blackberry phones in India like Vodafone, Airtel, Tata Docomo, Aircel, Bsnl, Reliance, etc. But later the problem was solved, and RIM averts the ban on Blackberry services.
