BlackBerry Curve 8530 coming to Verizon Wireless on November 20

Research in Motion Inc, popularly known as RIM, the popular manufacturers of BlackBerry handsets worldwide and Verizon Wireless, one of the most popular telecom service companies in the world, announced the forthcoming availability of the esteemed BlackBerry Curve 8530 Smartphone. It features a full QWERTY keyboard, a user friendly touch Trackpad, Wi-Fi support, data connectivity through 3G and peripheral interactive multimedia buttons which run on an installed BlackBerry OS 5.0; and with many advanced features and improvements over the earlier BlackBerry OS version. The main features of the new Verizon BlackBerry Curve 8530 from Verizon Wireless integrates a 2.4-inch TFT screen supporting a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels, a 2 megapixel camera which has zoom and video recording facilities, 256 MB of flash memory or ROM and 528 MHz processor with support for 3G data connectivity (EV-DO), version 2.1 Bluetooth connectivity and Wi-Fi (support for 802.11 b / g), pre-installed GPS (Geographic Positioning System) which supports location-based applications like BlackBerry Maps, including geo-tagging photos and Verizon Wireless services. Though when compared to the BlackBerry Storm 3, it is still one of the most wanted smart phones on the market.

The BlackBerry Storm 3, otherwise known in the tech market as the BlackBerry 9750, is a GSM phone, whereas the BlackBerry Curve 8530 is a CDMA phone exclusively designed for Verizon Wireless services - unless and until it is unlocked. The Storm 3 features have not been officially announced yet though its features have been popularized by various mobile review websites. When compared to what the BlackBerry Curve 8530 has to offer, the upcoming Storm 3 version includes a featured TFT capacitive touch screen displaying 65 thousand colors with a size of 480 x 800 pixels in a 3.7 inches display with approximately 252 ppi pixel density. It has an Accelerometer sensor for its auto-rotate feature, an Optical Trackpad Touch sensitive control, a proximity sensor for auto turn-off and a 5 MP camera capable of taking photos with a resolution of 2592х1944 pixels. It also has autofocus featuring Geo-tagging, image stabilization for the captured photos and video capturing of 720 pixels; but it does not have a secondary camera. So it is up to the buyer to decide his or her interests. Considering the fact that the BlackBerry Storm 3 has better features in terms of display, GSM service without any specific telecom service bindings and better display quality, the interested buyer might wait for some time to buy this set or lay his hands on the BlackBerry Curve 8530 which has already been launched.
