The Best Tablet PCs

The last few years have seen technology evolve at a remarkably fast rate. Apart from the best cell phones on the market, one of the fastest changing gadgets is the computer and, among the computers, is the Tablet PC. This situation is happening because most of the computer manufacturers are competing to become the best manufacturer of the best Tablet PC. On the other hand, most of the consumers now prefer to use the tablet PC as opposed to other computers to do their work. This means that the tablet is becoming more popular in schools, where both students and lecturers are using it, in hospitals for doctors to keep up with their work and for business people, as they conduct their various daily business transactions. This popularity has led to the tablet PC coming in a variety of designs and shapes that fit the requirements of the different users.

Tablets traditionally have two broad categories when it comes to their design. There are the convertible tablets and the slates. The latter is the conventional representation of the tablet PC’s principles. Many people refer to the slate as a hi-tech flat personal computer screen positioned on a desk. To replace the traditional PC mouse, the slate uses a stylus pen for navigating through the pages and for basic functions. The slate is sometimes compared to a piece of paper with hi-tech features where the user can perform different functions and applications. For users who find it hard to use the slate without the traditional mouse and keyboard, there is an allocation for the attachment of both these hardware to the Slate.

The convertible tablet PC, on the other hand, has a similar design with a laptop and functions in a quite similar way. To work with it, the user opens the screen, navigates through the computer, and manipulates it using either a touch pad or a keyboard. The user also has the option of attaching a keyboard and other preferred peripherals to it so that they can feel comfortable using it. The screen can twist to an angle of 180 degrees and can therefore, be used as a slate whichever the user desires.

Tablets are classified according to their industrial features, such as their connectivity, their body and screen size, and the manufacturing brand. The brand and category selection lie wholly on the user’s requirements while the other specifications come with the type of PC chosen. For instance, the PC screen varies depending on their sizes, such that one can get one PC with a screen that is 6 by 8 inches or a bigger one of 9 by 12 inches. The size of the screen varies with the writing and drawing space of the PC.

Pressure sensitivity is another way that tablets are classified. High pressure sensitivity tablets give the user accurate saving and registration of drawings and writings. That is why the user experiences easy navigation and manipulation of the PC according to their desire. The pressure sensitivity varies with the different PCs, and the highest sensitivity so far is 1024.
